Except me: Should do it

Saturday, June 12th, 2010

A couple of days ago, I had to make a phone call, co-incidentally another person picked up the phone, and so we *had* to talk. While just talking with him, he enquired with me, if I will be doing some work — which according to him I should be doing. I said no, I am not having any plans to do that as of now. So he gave me a full 5 min lecture on telling me why and what I should do and all that stuff. I listened to it, obediently, and then slowly asked him if he is going to do it. And he was quick to explain that he cant do it with various reasons cited and quickly transferred the phone to the person whom I was actually looking for.

Asking others to do everything, and when it comes to doing it with self, list of excuses ? There is an saying in hind: “Nahi karne ke 1760 bahane!”.

City of Dubai at Night

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

This nighttime astronaut photograph of the city of Dubai was taken at approximately 2 a.m. local time on September 11, 2009. Orange sodium vapor lights trace the major highways and street grid in and around the metropolitan area, while grey-white mercury vapor lamps fill in the commercial and residential areas. The lighted islands and peninsula of Palm Jumeirah are clearly visible along the coastline. A spiral pattern of lights on the southeastern fringe of the urban area is a camel racetrack.

Feb Mar Apr May Jun

Sunday, May 24th, 2009

Yep.. im not counting months in a serial order.  But this was a good co-incidence.

We friends, four of them, were sitting in a restaurant this friday, waiting for food to be served. Suddenly one of us asked when we had came to Dubai. Three of us were a year old in Dubai, and the other who was new to our group was four years old in Dubai. So he asked, and it came that we were sitting, March, April, May and himself June. Now, February? thats for our friend, who is presently in India enjoying his vacations.

A good co-incidence.

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

No doubt, though I think more of the residents of GCC should be obese and overweight. With the lanes being dotted with KFC, Mc Donalds, Pizza Hut, Shawarma and the lift style… it is going to happen.

According to Tawfiq Khoja, the secretary-general of the GCC Health Ministers Council executive office, around 50 percent of the population in the six Gulf states are overweight and obese. Continue reading the original document here.
